BioDiscovery

Compare candidate structures before committing bench time.

Explore protein structures, analyse properties and compare candidates with the evidence behind each comparison visible.

What is BioDiscovery?

Bench time is the scarce resource in life-science work, and it is routinely spent on candidates that a careful desk comparison would have deprioritised. BioDiscovery supports that comparison: exploring structures, analysing properties, and ranking candidates against stated criteria — with the basis for each conclusion shown and confidence capped by how strong that basis actually is. It informs experimental design; it does not replace the experiment.

Problems it solves

  • Explore protein structure without assembling the tooling first
  • Compare candidates against stated property criteria
  • See the basis for each comparison
  • Prioritise which candidates deserve bench time
  • Keep the reasoning attached to the shortlist

Key capabilities

Structure Analysis
Examine molecular or protein structure and compare candidates on stated properties.
Property Screening
Screen candidates against target properties and rank them by fit.
Evidence Trail
Every figure carries the record it came from, so a reader can check the answer instead of trusting it.
Confidence Ceilings
Confidence is capped by the strength of the underlying basis, so a weak source cannot produce a strong-sounding claim.

How it is built

Structure exploration
Examine structures and their properties in one place.
Criteria-based ranking
Candidates ranked against properties you state.
Capped confidence
A weak basis cannot produce a confident-sounding conclusion.

How it works

How the work is structured, and what each step's output rests on.

  1. Define the target

    Source

State the properties that matter for this programme.

  2. Gather structures

    Source

Assemble candidate structures and known properties.

  3. Analyse

    Observed

Compute and compare properties across candidates.

  4. Rank

    AI-inferred

Order candidates against the stated criteria.

  5. Cap confidence

    AI-inferred

Bound each conclusion by the strength of its basis.

BioDiscovery

Decide which candidates earn bench time

Rank candidates against stated criteria and record why each was kept or dropped.

4 minute walkthrough

  • Property Screening
  • Evidence Trail
  • Confidence Ceilings

Ask BioDiscovery

Illustrative examples. Results depend on your own data.

  • “Compare these candidates on binding-site geometry.”
  • “Which of these structures best matches my target properties?”
  • “What is the basis for this ranking?”
  • “Which candidates should get bench time first?”

Security, governance and human control

Where the software deliberately limits itself.

Governance

  • Confidence capped by evidence strength
  • Computational results labelled distinctly from experimental data

Questions

Does this replace experimental validation?
No. It informs which experiments to run. Computational comparison is a prioritisation tool, not evidence of function.

Teams using BioDiscovery often want these too.
